When to test

You can check integrity before extracting, sharing or using an archive as a backup.

How to test

  1. Open the archive you want to test.
  2. Click Test on the toolbar.
  3. Follow the progress window; you can Pause/Resume, Run in background or Cancel.

Read the results

The test results window shows Total files, Tested, Completed, Errors, Skipped and Time.

Use View details to inspect the test information, or Export report… to save a .txt report.

Verify immediately after compression

In the Create archive dialog, enable Verify after compressing to test the newly created archive using the same password.
